Debt collection
Manage debt collection and promises to pay
Prepare the monitoring of customer balances and find the commitments made for their payment.
Check folder
Find the customer and reconcile recorded invoices, returns and payments. Check the balance before preparing a reminder so as not to request an amount that has already been paid.
Keep tracking
Record useful exchanges and promises of payment with their dates. A promise constitutes a follow-up commitment; it should not be recorded as a payment received.
- Balance 1 000 DH
- Promise 400 DH
- Receipt 400 DH
Follow deadlines
When a payment plan is established, check the amounts and deadlines proposed. Then compare the payments actually received to the agreed plan and update the file.
Does a promise to pay reduce the balance to be collected?
A promise describes a commitment from the customer; it does not constitute a collection. Keep the agreed date and amount in tracking, then record the payment when it is actually received. Then check the file balance.
How to follow a payment schedule?
Compare each agreed deadline to the payments actually received. For a balance of 900 DH divided into three installments of 300 DH, a first payment paid leaves 600 DH before further movement. Reread the entire file before preparing a new reminder.
